Straight answers
Do the people I buy for need an account?
No. They can sit in your list as “Not on Giftivus yet” forever. An account only matters if they want to share a wish list of their own.
Can I really not see who reserved my things?
Correct. Your view shows what’s still open and nothing else. Who reserved what is never sent to your device, and friends can’t see each other either.
Will it email me constantly?
No. One welcome email, invites when someone asks, and a note a week before a date you’ve saved, which you can turn off. Nudges live in the app, one at a time.
What happens when I add a fourth person to buy for?
Your first three stay exactly as they are. Adding a fourth asks you to move to Pro, which has no limit.
What’s the difference between Pro and Family?
Pro is one account. Family is Pro for up to 6 accounts, so your partner or teenagers get their own logins. Nothing is shared between them, so everyone’s plans (and your present) stay their own. Neither plan limits how many people you buy for.
I’m bad at this. Will it make me feel worse?
It’s designed not to. Nothing is ever marked late, and every nudge has a guilt-free “remind me next week”.
Start with one person. That’s plenty.
